SUMMER THEME

We will all have many opportunities to forgive throughout our lives. Likewise, we will all be forgiven for things that we have done. How many times should we forgive someone? One time? Two times? In Matthew 18, this year’s summer theme text, Peter asks this question to Jesus. “Not seven times, but seventy seven times,” answers Jesus. This summer campers will explore what it means to show and receive mercy from four dynamic Scriptures. Sometimes it can be hard to see compassion and mercy in our day-to-day lives. We hope that campers will gain a deeper knowledge of how Christ has instructed us to multiply mercies every day of our lives. Like one candle lighting another, campers will see how mercy can be shared and make the world a brighter place in the name of the Lord.

CAMP ACTIVITIES

Campers participate in a wide variety of activities; below are some of the activities they may participate in:

CARDIO DRUMMING - Cardio drumming is a fun, fast-paced way to get your heart rate up, and drum to the rhythm of the music.

ARCHERY - Archery is the sport, practice, or skill of using a bow to propel arrows. Archery teaches campers patience, focus, strength, and so much more!

GAGA BALL - Dubbed a kinder version of dodgeball, the game is played with a soft foam ball in an octagonal “pit,” and combines the skills of dodging, striking, running, and jumping while trying to hit opponents with a ball below the knees while trying to avoid being hit yourself!

STEAM ACTIVITIES - STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics as ways to provide hands-on opportunities for campers to learn. This summer, every camper will get to participate in our mobile STEAM lab!

VISITING YOUR CAMPER

Due to the length of our camp, we ask that parents do not visit campers unless there are extenuating circumstances. We do not like pulling campers out of programs for visits, it's disruptive and tends to trigger campers who are prone to homesickness. If your child is struggling at camp, you will be notified by a camp director. Please feel free to call the camp and we will give you an update on your camper's experience.

CHECK-IN

CHECK-OUT

Check your camper in with a CITC staff member by 8:30 am.

Campers are required to be checked in each day by a parent/guardian. Campers are not allowed to check themselves in or out of camp.

Pickup begins at 4:30 pm.

Be courteous to our volunteers by being on time when picking up your child. If someone other than a parent/guardian will pick up your child, you must submit written permission beforehand.
